Unique Selling Points
- Sensitivity in encapsulation, transportation, and application: Many active compounds with important uses in food, feed, agriculture and beyond are particularly sensitive to external conditions (light, pH, temperature) and as a result can be very challenging to transport, store and apply. Up to 80-90% of bioactives can be lost in processing. Kapsera’s microencapsulation process does not require heating, drying, or exposure to UV or other rays making it perfectly adapted to encapsulating bioactives. Once encapsulated, the bioactive is in a “core” protected by a “shell”, ensuring extra protection in terms of shelf-life, and external conditions both in transport and final application.
- Versatility: Depending on the product, Kapsera can change the size of the capsule and the thickness of the shell by simply changing the injector nozzles. Also, not relying on spraydryer technology, or other more complex or costly alternatives, which are more common amongst competitors, Kapsera can work with liquid actives and dry powder actives in suspension.
- Scalability: As the injectors are modular, and can work in parallel, it is very simple to add more injectors to the line to increase the production volumes.
