- Since the existence of UV-Vis spectroscopy, food scientists and drug developers have only been able to measure chemical characteristics of clear liquid samples based on separation of “spectral” (light) components of the material, but not cloudy (turbid) liquids.
- Marama Labs developed the CloudSpec – the world’s first UV-Vis spectrophotometer that can simultaneously measure absorption, extinction, and scattering spectra of clear and turbid liquids.
- The CloudSpec technology has the potential to massively reduce the time spent by food, beverage and pharma during production, by providing objective, real-time analysis of liquids. This allows for streamlining of production, reducing costs and resources used, in addition to improving the quality of the final product.
