Unique Selling Points

  • Their first product is based on an extract from a naturally-occurring microbe. The microbes are grown in large-scale fermenters and then the active ingredient is extracted in a simple process from the dried microbes.
  • It is highly effective at killing the parasite Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, which causes the disease known as parasitic white spot (or simply ‘ich’) in freshwater finfish. This is a major problem in the €200 billion global industry.
  • They plan to build a portfolio of further aquaculture technologies to allow them to develop a family of new, effective products.
